Good Time

I went to Columbus Gold on a Friday at about 9:30 PM. I walked in, showed my ID to the bouncer and gave my free entry coupon (printed off their website), to the girl colleting the cover charge, (which was $10).

The club has been described by me many times before but the reviewers like a description so here goes. You walk in the front door, the bar is on your left and the stage and tables are on your right. The bar is and oval with seating all the way around. There are about 25 little tables with four chairs around them. There is a high dollar VIP area in the far right corner with it’s own bar. Behind the big oval bar is the $30 dance area.

I was pleasantly surprised with about 13 dancers on the floor and about 8 customers. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer, $7. Very quickly a cute Cuban dancer approached and asked if she could sit down. Her English was not good and used her phone to translate. Finally got around to, “do you want a dance?” I asked how much. She said 2 for $40. (They are normally $30). So off we went. The dances were OK but nothing to write home about. I went back to the bar and was approached by 2 more cute dancers that I took back for dances. Once again, the dances were OK but nothing to write home about.
