Quiet afternoon at Onyx.

Dropped by Onyx on Tuesday around 2pm to check out the place as a potential Vivid alternate, when I walked in (2 hours after opening), I was the only customer in the place! This did have the benefit of having them waive whatever the cover was (they just said "Don't worry about it"), but damn it was quiet in there.

VENUE:

The club is quite nice - every piece of furniture and decoration looked actually kind of elegant (chandeliers over the stage, nice furniture, etc) with two long bars at each end of the club, and a stage that stretched between them with low slung chairs scattered along the stage. A few steps up from the main level along the outer walls were maybe 8 large booths with small tables (not dissimilar layout from Vivid, but a lot nicer in quality).
