The Land of Portly Mamis

Hi this place around 1 pm on a Wednesday. It looks like a shithole on the outside, which gives a fair sign of what lies within. Smallish, beat-up asphalt parking lot just off the edge of a busy highway.

As other reviewers have noted, it is very dark inside, and it takes time to adjust, even on a dark, rainy day. You walk through the door straight into the place (no vestibule). I don’t recall seeing a metal detector and one certainly wasn’t in operation that time of day. As you enter, you are facing about the middle point of the broad side of a narrow, low stage. Bar is off to the right end with maybe 6-8 seats, and the bar back offers most of the light in the place. There are benches along the wall on either side of the stage. Maybe 4-5 dancers in view, most huddle in shadow off to the side, eyeballing you as you walk in, and one sitting at the bar with one of the 2-3 other patrons who were within sight.
