Cute Cubans in Council Bluffs

Location: Near Wallymart on the north side of town; if you’re into planes, it’s fun to watch the airliners sweep low overhead as they land at Eppley Airfield. Big parking lot.

Prices: No cover in the afternoon (which is the only time I go). Customer beers are $3.50 for a Coors Light - very reasonable! Buy the same beer for a girl, and it’s $5.00. Be careful on those lady drinks - each girl must sell 5 each shift, and they almost always order pricey shots. Those go for $10.00. The day shift goes from 3-9; if you show up at 6pm or later, you’ll find that most of the girls have met their quota, and they don’t pressure you as much to buy them drinks. Either that, or they’ll just as for a Red Bull or a water, which is much cheaper - $5.00 I think.

Girls: The usual range, with some you want to avoid. But I’d say about half are definitely nice enough to keep you entertained. That said, conversation is impossible unless you speak Spanish. Of the ten girls who were there Wednesday afternoon, only one spoke English! The rest were Cubans. I was able to have a long chat with one dancer using Google translate on her phone - but you need a lot of patience. There is one older cuban who is relentless - she won’t leave you alone until you get a dance. She is cute, but I don’t like being ambushed. I’m curious why all the strip joints in western Iowa have been taken over by Cubans. Anyone know?

Dances: $25, though I usually give them $30. Why? The girls - especially the cubans - are very generous with their attentions. You definitely need to visit to understand what I mean. Be kind and thoughtful, but don’t let them walk all over you. That combination works.

From what I hear, the night shift is a lot busier - which I think is less fun. You can’t get to know the girls, everything is rushed, and it’s more expensive. Drink prices go up a couple of bucks (for both customers and dancers), and there is a 10.00 cover after 8pm. I recommend days for sure.
