Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got Nobody

I have been here a few times but it was always on an off peak time so the place was usually pretty slow. A friend called and asked me to come see her on Saturday night, so I reluctantly agreed. The biggest drawback to this place, for me, is the music, they play hip hop, rap and other music I am not familiar with or fond of and it can be too loud to carry on a conversation.

The place is off a busy road, near the northwest side of Indy. There used to be several other clubs within a couple of miles but the Speedway took over some of the properties many years ago and Club Rio was shut down a few months ago. There is parking on both sides of the club and I have never payed for parking, but I think they have valet on busy weekends, but its not mandatory.

Entrance is on the west side of the building with a small hallway and booth for the cover taker. It was around 10PM so cover was $20, an ID scan and wanding/pat down from the door bouncer and you are in. The place is decent size with a bar between the stage and LD area in the back. It has two stages, and while I was there, both were busy most of the time, but I have been here when only the one on the south wall was being used.
