Sweet & Low 44

I stopped into Sugar 44 on a recent Saturday night. I arrived about 10pm, there was no problem finding a parking spot behind the club. Cover charge was $10. No ID check or pat down.

The club wasn’t very busy, maybe a half dozen customers in the place, so no trouble finding a spot to sit. A bottle of beer ran $8 from a friendly waitress. By about 10:30 the place started to fill up.

There were maybe 10-12 dancers working. I’d rate them in the 6-8 range with most sitting around a 7. They were doing 2 song sets on the main stage. I’m horrible with names and had a hard time understanding the DJ, I also don’t go here often so I didn’t recognize any familiar faces. The only 2 names I do remember were Loni and Valentine. All the dancers were exceedingly nice and none gave a hard push for dances.
