Friday Night at Oz, Not Like It Used To Be

I found myself out and about on Friday night around 9pm and figured I'd give the weekend evening shift a try at Oz - it had been a very long time since I'd done that, and I had fond memories. I usually go during the day shift, although it's been a while for that even. I pull into the parking lot, and the joint was absolutely packed. Thankfully they have a giant parking lot, so finding a spot wasn't a problem. I walked in the front door, and a giant man in a suit checked my ID, while a friendly door girl collected the $15 cover.

Walking into the club, it was just as packed as the parking lot suggested. It's was quite a contrast vs day shift. The bar was absolutely mobbed, so I decided to hold off on getting a drink. Miraculously, I found a table near the stage that was free, so I claimed it. Just a couple of minutes later I was approached by a waitress who offered me a beverage. This is a great sign - even though they were so busy, the service still seems decent.

The club itself is really nice and quite clean. The front of the club has the main stage, which is pretty gigantic, with two poles and stage-side seating all around. Behind the stage-side seats on one side, there are a half-dozen or so low tables with seating. The back half of the club is a few steps higher than the front. On one side, there's a gigantic, roped off VIP area (which in my mind is a very questionable use of space). On the other side, there's an extremely long bar, with seating on both sides. On the back wall, there are high tables and chairs. It's all very nice, however how it's laid out doesn't really maximize the space, and it can become quite crowded pretty easily. The bathrooms are some of the best that I've seen in a strip club (although that's not a terribly high bar). They've always been clean, and during busy times (like Friday night), there's a bathroom attendant.
