I went to Las Gatas Gentlemen’s Club at 22:00 on a Monday night. There was no cover charge. Las Gatas seems to be a Hispanic strip club. I was the only non-Hispanic inside. The music was almost entirely reggaeton with an occasional old school rap song thrown in. There is a bar and four video slot machines on the back wall. There is a large island stage in the middle of the room. The stage is shaped like a barbell with two pole positions, one on each end. There are two pool tables in the front of the room. I asked the bartender for a Budweiser, but there were none available. She claimed they do stock the “King of Beers”, but they were sold out at the moment. I ended up getting a bottle of Michelob Ultra for $7. Unsurprisingly, there was a heavy inventory of cervezas de orina like Corona and Modelo. The club has a small kitchen in the back that puts together a simple food menu of fried appetizers, hamburgers, and chicken sandwiches.

There were three dancers working. Two dancers were Central American girls in their twenties. Both showed the wear and tear of childbirth, so I was not interested. It seemed neither spoke much English. The third dancer was a Puerto Rican dancer from Florida named Lolita. She had black hair, brown eyes, and pale white skin. She had C cup breasts and was thirty-three years old. She had big tattoos on the side of each thigh, and she had tattoos on both of her triceps. I hit it off with Lolita and hung out with her for about an hour. She must have enjoyed my company and conversation because she never even asked if I wanted to do private dances. I eventually brought up the topic because I wanted to explore her body and compensate her for the time we had already spent together on the slow Monday night.

The private dance area is behind a sliding barn door on the right side of the club. Inside there are six booths: three on the left and three on the right. Each booth has a couch that is about four feet wide and a drape covering the opening. There is privacy, except for the camera in the ceiling in each booth. Dancers get completely nude. Two-way contact is allowed, including touching boobs and ass. However, vaginal touching is not allowed. Private dances are $60 for five minutes, $120 for ten minutes, $150 for fifteen minutes, $200 for twenty minutes, and $300 for thirty minutes. I did fifteen minutes with Lolita. She set a timer on her smartphone and honored the full time with a solid effort and adequate grinding. By the end of the fifteen minutes, my muscle shirt was wet from her sweat.
