Wed visit

Was visiting DC for a few days. Offerings inside DC have been slim so I decided to take a chance to visit Ebony. Took public transportation, subway and bus took quite some time and needs walking quite a bit, if I were to visit another time I’d get a uber or Lyft especially at night.

Finally walked up to 5367 Sheriff Road, Fairmount Heights, MD. The entrance guard asked me to pay a $20 entrance fee. The entrance guard is NOT where you get your pat down. I entered the club near the bar area, I received my pat down and I got a stamp if I plan on leaving and returning.

Staff also asked me if I have a phone on me. I told him I have a phone on me he took my phone and put it in a brown paper bag, used a sharpie to write my name on the bag and then put it inside a metal case. I have never encountered this in any other clubs I visited. It is a little weird and a bit concerning, because when I saw people leaving they just ask for the first name to give the phone back.
