Saturday Afternoon At Ruby's (Girls Are Getting Better)

The club is divided up into three sections. The lower section has a rectangular bar that holds about 25 people. There are a handful of TVs playing sports, and one of the four walls is open to the stage. From this room the stage is waist height, so you can interact with the dancers through the opening. This is where I usually stand (no chairs here), but I didn't go up to the stage at all during this visit. If you go up to the middle section (you step up) you can sit at the stage, and tip the dancers there also. Most people stand at the bar side.

The third section is behind a wall; this is where the lap dances are held. There are maybe 10 or so cubicles separated by 'trellis-like' walls. Half are along one wall, and the other half are along the opposite wall. So, on a busy day you can watch people across the room getting lap dances. So, there can be a lack of privacy. Bouncer used to prowl this area, but not so much anymore. I think that they're trying to save money, and so there was no DJ, no bouncer and no parking attendant. This is probably because it was during the day, and not too busy. I imagine that this changes at night. During the day (when I tend to go), the clientele is older and less aggressive, so they probably figure that they can save a little money this way. Its nice not to have a bouncer there because the girls can get a little friskier.

Ruby's is a member's club, and is supposed to be fully nude, and I fondly remember the days when the girls would take everything off on stage. Often, they would come right down to the bar, stark naked, and ask for a dance. Boy, how could anyone say 'No"? Sadly, those days are over; during my two hours there, I only saw one girl briefly remove her top; she quickly put it back on.
