It Is What it Is

I stopped by Bandaids on a recent Wednesday evening. I arrived around 11pm. So-so neighborhood in the downtown Phoenix area, beware of your surroundings at night. Plenty of parking available. Cursory pat down from bouncer. Cover charge was $8.

Inside, same as ever, dive bar feel, bar as you enter, some smaller stages in that area, but the main dance floor is in the back and the VIP area beyond that stage. There weren’t a ton of customers there, I doubt there was more than 15-20 or so at any given time on my visit. Pretty blue collar, a mixed of black, white and Latino. Seemed like a lot of neighborhood regulars. Some sketchy looking characters amongst them too though. A bottle of beer ran $5 from a friendly waitress.

There were probably 15 or so dancers working. Mostly Cuban and black girls, 1-2 white girls too. I’d rate them in the 4-8 range, with most sitting around a 6. Lots of big girls, lots of fat asses. There was a tall slender black girl there though that was a solid 8, she said she had just started there. Honestly, I don’t remember any names as most were not that memorable.
