A Meh review of Las Cariñosas
I visited a couple of months ago on a Thursday from about 9:30-11pm. The building is out in a big empty area across from a big Boulder Highway casino (Boulder Station). The parking lot is old and cracked and the building exterior is also dated. Based on pictures on Google maps, it looks like this was “The Library” back in 2020. Parking seemed safe enough and you can park right near the building and the entrance.
The interior, on the other hand, looked like it was recently fully renovated and it was well done except for an out-of-place set of wooden steps with 2x6 wooden railings to kept up (about 3 feet) to the main stage. The night I visited, the place was quiet but not dead. There were two larger groups (8-12 people each) celebrating and a couple of single guys like me.
The dancers were a mixed bunch, not all old like the previous reviewer encountered but a mixture of late 20s to 40s. Not all were attractive. A younger brunette, cute but not toned a few pounds (10?) over ideal weight stopped by visited for about 20 minutes. The club had recently opened (within a month or so) and she said business had been slow but was slowly improving, particularly on weekends.
There were several large, new and high-quality video/TV monitors and when the dancers began their rounds (about 10 pm, I think) the screens prominently displayed the dancer on stage’s name. I thought that was a great idea, since (as always) it was hard to hear what the DJ was saying and even when I can hear the dancer’s name, I tend to forget it quickly.
The dancing wasn’t anything unusual (topless, of course, LC has a full bar) but the dancers perked up when one of the 2 parties sat around the stage and tipped energetically.
