I won't go back.

I found myself in Toledo on a Monday night with nothing to do so I thought I would give Platinum another try. I walked in through the metal detector and talked to the girl checking ID’s. I pulled out my driver’s license and showed it to her. She said she needed to scan it and I said I don’t want it scanned so let’s use my wallet passport. I handed it to her and she tried to scan it without any success. So she said, “I need to write your name down, and I said OK”. She charged me $5 cover and in I went. There were only about three average dancers working and about four customers.

Nice clean club with a bar along the left wall and far wall. The stage goes the length of the bar down the center of the club and is only about two feet high. There are small tables in front of you when you walk in and to your far right. Past the tables to your right are the restrooms and the VIP dance area. (I hate doing club descriptions when every review has one?).

I sat down at a table and a dancer imidatly sat down with me and we started to talk. Then a lady approached and said she needed to scan my ID. I said I showed it to the girl at the door, it wouldn’t scan so she wrote my name down. She said just a minute I need to go check.

About five minutes later a big well-dressed guy comes up and says he needs to scan my ID. I explained everything that had happened. We went back and forth for about 5 minutes; club policy, we have to have a record of your name, you have my name, I showed you my passport that is a Federal ID. I finally said “do you want me to leave?” He said no but I need to scan your ID. I said, “I’ll just leave.” So I did, and they gave me my $5 cover back and I walked out with $305 in my wallet. Crazy place, I don’t think I will ever go back unless there is new ownership.
