Visited: Saturday Afternoon

So, after a pretty satisfying visit to Jiggles (see previous review), I decided to conclude my afternoon of depravity in Paterson by going to this establishment. Having read TUSCL reviews ahead of time, I sort of knew what to expect. But even with that heads up, this was still a very strange experience.

No cover charge at 5:30 pm. The Poland Spring water was $5. There were initially no dancers nor were there other patrons when I was there. The bar is a very long single room. There is a stage with a single pole at the very far end of the bar (away from the road entrance). There are three very strange cubicle/booths near the stage part of the bar that look incredibly uncomfortable and that seemed to have camping tarps place over a bar (for privacy???). Apparently, according to the older, unattractive, and non-friendly bartenders (two of them!) they have had "problems with those spaces" and they aren't used any more. The bathroom has no door and is barely passable in terms of sanitary hygiene but there WAS soap.

As I sat at the end of the bar watching college football and sipping my water, a hefty dark haired dancer came up to me and said "hello" manually. She also said her name was Tabitha and she was from Brazil. She was 15-20 pounds heavier than she needed to be, had enormous breasts and equally enormous butt, but had a pleasant face and was pretty friendly. I would guess she was in her late 30's. She did not speak a lot of English and so we used a translation app. During this whole time, while she is continuing to say "hi" to me manually, she is encouraging me to say "hi" to her manually over her clothing. She asked if I wanted a dance and I asked her "where?" since I had already been told that the "booths" were non-starters from the surly bartenders. She said that she "didn't know" and that this was her first day at this particular bar (but she made it a point to say that she had been at many other strip bars in the area). So she asked one of the surly bartenders (in Portuguese) and they proceeded to have a relatively long conversation in their native language. Then the surly bartender came up to me and asked me where I worked -- as I mentioned in my Jiggles review, I guess this must be their "cop check" because after I told them, they both decided to tell me that the "room" was actually the women's dressing room! The cost asked was $40 to the surly bartender and $100 to her. This was supposed to be for 10 minutes time.
