Pleasant + Quiet Sunday Afternoon
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Had some time to kill before I headed home so decided to take a trip to the Rhino. Called ahead for a ride but since it was just me they told me to take a cab/uber and they would put me on the list for free admission. Told me to tell the driver I was on the list, I did, and he seemed to understand (I guess they waive the fee)
When I showed up, went through security + ID check and then they waived me in after checking my name against the list. The club's design has been reviewed lots of times already so I won't comment on it other than to say that since it was the day shift and there was not a lot of people the Main Stage was the only place where action was happening. There were probably about 5-6 patrons and a total of 8-10 dancers on shift. There was a UFC match the night before, and apparently it was a pretty busy night so the shift was a little bit lighter than normal (or that's what they told me) Dancer wise, a mix of everything (White, Cuban, AA, Asian) but at least half were Cuban I would estimate. There was one girl on stage at a time at what looked like a 3 song set.
Not a drinker but ordered a club soda ($4, happy hour special) and sat at the bar for a bit. A number of girls came by to introduce themselves, and had everything from "wanna dance" to a few that talked and chatted for a bit. Politely said no to almost all of them who came over and nobody gave me too much of a hassle. Eventually, went to the stage for a bit to sit and tip for a half hour or so before a girl (I think maybe asian-american/filipino) came who started talking to me once she got off the stage. On the taller side, sweet eyes and just seemed very down to earth. After chatting for a bit, we ended up doing the 3/$100 dances on the long couch in the back. Afterwards bought her a drink and we talked for about 30 minutes before I headed to the airport.
