Same Old Vivide

Stopped in on a Friday after a long time of not having been. I have the place a break a couple of months ago with the tame dances. I made the mistake of parking in the front (rather than the gravel), which set me back $10. I then paid $10 for entry. I stopped by after Hurricane Helene came through and half expected to only see the top section being used after the previous night’s heavy rain. To my surprise both floors were open. It has been my experience that they close the bottom floor after heavy rains. Perhaps they have this problem resolved.

At 3 PM when I arrived, the place was pretty packed with customers and girls. I would say somewhere between 30-40 girls were there. Mostly Cuban with some AA and 1 or 2 white girls. I really didn’t see anyone that I liked, but got dances from two Cubans. The no straddling rule is still in effect, and definitely not the level of dances like they once were. Both girls did a little stick shifting, but not as much as the old days. Both also didn’t take off their bottoms.

As I was leaving there was one dancer straddling a dude during a dance. One of the Vivide workers was standing right near them, so I’m not sure if he just wasn’t paying attention or cared. Perhaps things are loosening up, or the dancer was new, and didn’t know any better.
