Thursday Nights Are Not For Follies

I was only in Atlanta for one night and I haven't been on the strip club scene there in years. I was a regular at the late, great Follies. After it closed many of the girls migrated to Diamonds but that closed also was shut down. Then Platinum closed and it was really the last of its kind. All those clubs were your more straight up strip joints. Not necessarily party places or places to show off and stunt. That type of action was reserved for the Magic City's and the Blue Flames. But now it seems Onyx is trying to enter into the flashy strip club space.

Clearly they are interested in a certain demographic when they're charging $40 to enter on a random Thursday night. That was my original gripe. I begrudgingly paid it and walked in to a room full of fully clothed strippers. I mean, they were in their dancing outfits, but they were fully covered. Money was being thrown quite liberally but no one was getting naked. I surmised from this that it would take at least $200 to get any type of real action.

A dancer that was close to my type came and asked if I wanted a dance. I told her ok and she proceeded to give me the most lackluster dance to half a song for $20. I quickly told her no when she asked if I wanted another one.
