A hidden gem

The Filly used to be a regular stop for me, however I just stopped back recently for the first time in several years. I'm happy to say it was just like I remembered it. The only difference is the Denny's across street is now out of business. That brings me to my next point, the Filly is in somewhat of an unlikely location. Fairly deep in the country I'm Southwestern PA, but seemingly popular as it's near major highways and trucking routes.

The Filly, to me, has always had a laid back and friendly vibe. It's mainly truckers and country type folk. No pat down at the door or any signs about hats, dress code, colors etc. It actually looks a bit like a saloon from a cowboy movie. The cover charge is $20 - $25 if I remember correctly, it is a bit steep, but it comes with free drinks.

I think the free drinks would entail soda, bottled water and beer. I only drank bottled water, so not totally certain. I'm sure the beer on tap is subpar, probably something horrible like IC light.
