Visited: Saturday Evening

This club has not been part of my regular Indy rotation for quite some time (for reasons I'll get into later), but some positive recent reviews convinced me to make my first visit in more than a year on a recent Saturday night. I wound up returning to the club the following Saturday, so this review is a composite of those two visits.

The club is located just a bit south of Monument Circle, within easy walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium, the Convention Center, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and numerous hotels; in other words, if you're downtown for any other reason, you may not have to drive or Uber to it. It does have its own small, free parking lot, but it's cramped so I usually park on the street nearby. In terms of square footage, it's probably one of the bigger clubs in Indy, with a long, relatively narrow rectangular interior with the main bar at the front once you get past the screened-off entrance. (A second, smaller bar is also in the back, but I've never been in there when it was busy enough for that to be in use.) A total of four raised stages with free-standing poles (the ceiling is very high) are scattered across the club's length, though they usually don't have more than the middle two active except during peak business periods. Seating is mostly long rows of red velvet-like chairs with occasional small round tables nearby rather than chairs clustered around tables, but navigation through the club can still be tricky during busy times. Two tiers of elevated VIP areas are also available on the right of the stages and numerous screens for sporting events lines the upper portions of the walls, while the DJ booth overlooks the seating area from a second-story level. Lighting is on the dim side, but the consistent red theme combines with that to give the club a certain cozy ambiance.

The big relatively recent change is to the back area, where dances are done. The back main-floor room used to have chairs with armrests, which limited what dancers could do for lap dances. These have been moved out and that area has been remodeled with love seat-type couches (still red) which are now used for somewhat more private three-dance sets. Individual dances are now done on couches in a roped-off area of the very back of the main floor (and thus in full view of the main floor). This is still an improvement, however, as it solves one of my main long-standing beefs with the club. Private rooms for the half-hour dances are on a second floor in the very back. I've been told that they are now curtained-off areas that are much more private, but I have not been up there yet. Dance prices are $25 for individual dances, $100 (plus, annoyingly, a one-time $10 wristband purchase) for the three-dance sets in the more private area, and $260 for the half-hour sessions upstairs.
