Very disappointing club

Apparently this is the only game in town in Asheville. Perhaps if I were from the surrounding area, I would have been wise of other options, but being from a faraway state, I had no such knowledge.

Parking was easy, and I entered the club. Greeted at front entryway by nice gentlemen who welcomed me and said there was no cover. Into the club, I stopped at the bar and got a beer - very fairly priced at $4 and change. Ripped $2. There were two dancers sitting at the bar chatting, as I walked by they were friendly and said hi. Made my way to the end of the club where the elevated stage was. Did not sit stage side but at a table about 20 feet away. I quickly recognized that I was the only patron in the club. Not a good sign for 4:00 in the afternoon. There was a dancer on stage - she appeared to be a fairly young (23?) lanky blonde, small chest and ass. She actually wasn’t really dancing, but seemed to be learning or practicing her ability to pole dance. From what I witnessed, she was a beginner and not very capable. One other lady, not very attractive, asked if she could sit with me. We had less than a minute of small talk when she asked me for a $250 private dance. I politely declined, explaining g I wanted to get a feel for the place. She up and left.

I sat and nursed my beer for a good half hour, watching the young lady on stage struggling to rotate on the pole or climb high up on it. She did no floor work, no dancing, and as far as she was concerned, I was invisible. Not a lot of fun. One of the male workers (manager?) came out and said hello, then he started. Ringing poker tables out from a closet and placing them in the middle of the club. He rearranged chairs and tables to creat a large space for a “pit” of Texas Hold ‘Em tables. I watched this o cut while still waiting and hoping for a different dancer who would actually dance to embark on the stage. Never happened. As I got up to leave, the manager explained that they were holding a poker tournament - no real money, just for fun, later that evening to drive some attendance.

Hmm. Hope it worked for them because in the hour I was there no one else came in the door. Maybe it’s me, but I don’t go to a strip club for a poker tournament. I would have liked a club full of hot, fun, friendly girls eager to have a good time. Based on my experience as well as the reviews of others, clearly this club doesn’t fit that description. Will not visit again and cannot recommend.
