Entertaining Stop Along the South Florida Range

Found myself in the Miami area for work last month. Read the reviews here and decided to check out Cheetah Hallandale on my way to some meetings in Fort Lauderdale. It was a hot, steam Wed. afternoon, arrived around 3 pm and the parking lot was already pretty crowded. Wanted to avoid the traffic and so stopped in for a few hours.

Others have already described the layout: after paying your entry fee (none during the day), you enter to see a square bar in front, and a long ramp to the right leading to the back bar. In between the two bars is a long stage with tables in front. The VIP rooms appear to be in the back, and the lapdance area is to the right. The place is dimly light, but your eyes adjust.

Made my way up the ramp to the back bar and grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a beer ($7) from a friendly bartender who seemed to know everyone. Too many guys smoking in that corner, so moved over closer to the main stage. Was approached quickly by a tall and friendly brunette who spoke excellent English (not the case for many other dancers here). We spoke for a while, bought her a drink, and then she had to go on stage. Didn’t see her for the rest of the day.
