A lot of potential but not there yet

I was in town for a concert and saw the new Follies at Onyx advertising and had to check it out. This was the second club I visited on this trip so I may write a short update on vivide for the full comparison. But overall, I was amazed at the quality of the club. This place was 10x nicer than the typical atl club(blue flame, platinum, vivide etc) but still the same vibe(smoke friendly and relaxed atmosphere). Only complaint it's took awhile for things to get started. I arrived at 2:30 on Friday and it was basically empty. The days of platinum or follies being jammed pack at day shift seem to be over.

Establishment:

The club is very nice. Parking lot gated, $5 for parking and $10 to enter at that time. After going through the double door you see the club is laid out around a giant I shaped stage. Two very nice bars on both ends with big tv screens covering the wall on the far end. Group seating lines the wall similar in size and style to vivides seats. Lighting was pretty low but they seemed to have a full setup with colored lights that move around the stage. Seriously maybe the nicest black club in town.
