Location: The Purple Orchid is located in an industrial area in Philadelphia at the corner of 61st and Passyunk. It shares a parking lot with a pool hall and another adult entertainment establishment. The potholes in the parking lot are terrible, please be careful. The building itself is a large purple cube right at the intersection of 61st and Passyunk

Arrived at 3:30, there were 9 dancers, 10 customers.

Layout: When you enter, there is a desk area at the left-hand side, where the cover charge is collected during the evening, and where couch dances are paid for (after the fact). Just past the cover charge desk is a beaded curtain to the $20 common lap dance area. Several couches, none of them in the best of repair. Dancers usually take you to the one further away from the beads. On your right as you enter are 2 doors that each open to a small private individual room with a small couch on on side of the room and a large mirror on the other side of the room. This is the $30 private couch dance area. The main room itself is a rectangle you enter on one of the narrow sides, the bar is a rectangle in the center of the room, with a raised stage area (2 steps up) within the bar. There are 2 poles in the stage area, 1 in each of the long sides of the recatanges, Bathrooms are on the left-hand wall is the entrance to the dressing room, and the DJ booth is in the far left corner as you walk in. The sides of the main room are mostly mirrored, and there are elevated TV's on each wall.
