The part 2 recon of Rhino and Sapphire

This is part 2 of my Saturday night in Vegas last weekend. A quick recap I called Rhino for a pick up for 1 person and got picked up around 1:15 am. Around 2:30 am I called Sapphire for a pick up in front of Rhino and the driver asked me to meet him across the street because Rhino did not like them picking up on their lot.

I got dropped off at Sapphire and the driver gave me a ticket for entry. Prepandemic the ticket would get me entry for something like $60 with two drinks included so it was like prepaying for two drinks. This time the yellow ticket got me free entry and no drinks. I don’t know if this is a new policy or because I got dropped off around 3am. I tipped the driver 20 bucks but he gave me the ticket before I tipped him.

I went right in and was surprised that the back 50 percent had already been closed off. That gives you guys who know Sapphire an idea of how slow it was that night. Some of the girls said it was because of the big rig that flipped over with 4 industrial grade lithium batteries on the 15 from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on Friday. I saw the news say the batteries burned for about 44 hours and stopped traffic on the 15 freeway for 44 hours in one of the hottest and longest heat waves in Vegas history.
