Meh

I think I'm still mourning the closing of Follies. And I keep telling myself that this is the next best thing. But it really isn't. Yes, parking is about the same: I arrived just before 2.00pm and there were no front lot spaces, but still a few spaces in the rear lot, and there was no charge for that. And $10 to get in. I headed downstairs, straight down to the lower level. I decided to sit at the bar for a few moments, just in case something interesting developed right there - but it didn't - only thing that occurred was the need to fend off the first few Latinas (cuban, I think?) who came over and asked to dance. Pretty enough. But the enhanced bodies weren't working for me on this occasion It's not only the lack of ethnic variety that means this is not Follies II - it's jut too bright in there - here are no places to settle that give a sense of privacy - and there is no consistently met expectation that something crazy is about to happen. It feels way too tame. I tried a few different spots, and ended up settling in the larger area, rear left, in front of what I am guessing are the VIP curtains I've seen mentioned elsewhere. AA girls? barely any today - and the two I saw were too slight for me. And no white girls. Maybe it was the beer that changed things - or the fact I had only given myself about an hour for the visit - but a blonde-haired Latina (E********, I think) piqued my interest enough for a few $10 dances before heading out to mourn how awful Atlanta clubs are.
