A listless Tuesday evening at Cox's

Executive summary: Physically not “high end” and not a dump — sort of in between. Small-ish club with pretty pricy dances for what (I perceive) you get in LD or in private (details below).

A shout-out to Slider0 for responding to my DMs and for his own informational reviews on West Virginia clubs. I was on a road trip through West Virginia (which is a very beautiful state, nature-wise) and the end of my day found me in the Clarksburg/Bridgeport area. I made it to the club at about 10:30 on a Tuesday evening (a smallish building next to a bunch automobile dealerships — also noticed an Asian massage place and Caroline’s Hotspot, which was possibly a bar — nearby and seemed safe. Buzzed a “doorbell” like devise to gain entrance to the club, had my ID reviewed, and paid $5 cover. The bar is immediately to the left entering into the main room that extends long pass the bar — restrooms (clean, no troll) off to the right of the entrance. Large single stage with a pole behind which the dancers emerge from a curtain. Jukebox on the side of the stage where the music is played. Hardback chairs surround the stage and there are some couched areas behind the these on the bar-side of the large room. There is the communal lap dance section across the club from those couched areas and upstairs is where the private dances occur. I got a water for $4 with tip. Don’t know the cost of beer/alcohol.

There was no music and no one dancing when I got there. There were five dancers on shift. There was one other customer (possibly a regular) sitting with two other dancers. Nova, a shorter, curvy, dark haired dancer in a mesh outfit with pierced nipples on modest B-cup tits was at the bar and got up when I came in, said hello, and asked me if I wanted to see some beautiful ladies dance. I said “sure” and so she went to the back of the preparation room, came out through the curtain and did an unremarkable 3 song set. She didn’t disrobe at all. I tipped each song and she told me the dance pricing — lap dances in a communal room (topless) were 3/$140 or 6/$260 and the upstairs privates were $360/15 minutes but fully nude. Slider0 had already tempered my expectations on the private dances but even so, those prices seems pretty steep. The remaining 4 dancers came out in turn:
