Hot 'Lanta

I arrived at Vivide about 1:20 on a Thursday afternoon. The pot-holed parking lot had a fair number of cars in it, but there were quite a few empty spots near the entrance with orange cones restricting their use. OK, I get it. I parked in a space a little bit beyond the cones.

I approached the front door, where a few guys were “managing” the parking and was told, “Where you parked is $10.” This was a first for me here, as I’ve always arrived in the early afternoon when even the cones aren’t out. I asked if there was a place I could park for free, and was directed to the dirt lot beyond the pavement.

I briefly considered moving my car, but the possibility of heavy rain was in the forecast, and I was not interested having to sprint to my car upon leaving later only to have to slog through a dirt lot in a deluge. Fuck it. I paid the $10.
