Sometimes life is good.

Okay, Gents, here's my trip report. Arrived about 5:30 on a Saturday. This is a hood club in a more or less okay part of the hood and most of the patrons have African skin as do the dancers. The cover is $10.

Downstairs is La Perl, which is a narrow beer-in-bottles dive bar. Upstairs, there's a bar and a stage, with a long and uncomfortable bench along one side of the room. The venue \opens at 4. Talent drifts in at various times between 4 and 6. It's over by 8. Talent comes in a variety of shapes, sizes and ages. As long as you appreciate women with African skin, there will be someone there to delight you.

When I arrived, women were starting to come in. I sat myself down at the bar downstairs, hoping to enjoy a cold beer, among other treats. I would have gone for the seat in the corner (which you should if its available), but there was a dancer sitting there and at the next seat over and at the cocktail table across from the next seat over. There are windows here, shoulder height. It's kinda exhibitionist fun to sit at the hightop, enjoying a dance where you can look out the window but no one knows what's going on lower down. Since the good seats were taken, I sat down at the closest available chair. There was no sign of the bar tender. I wanted a beer. Guys and women were drifting in.
