Slow Start + 2 Big Warnings
Got here around 1 pm. I left around 2:30. Today is supposed to be the grand opening although some staff said they heard it was a teaser. The turn to get to the club is very awkward but if you see the Waffle House, down that side street is where you need to go. The parking lot is the worst of any high mileage club in the city right now. The security is also the worst. I was not patted down and saw no security at all. It was said he was blowing up balloons for the grand opening party. WTF. If I was a stripper or patron I'd be worried, the people running the place should be worried. That's warning number 1. Entrance was 10 bucks to the oldish chick at the counter who was also walking around starting party shit. People seeming unprepared was par for the course.
The layout hasn't changed which isn't a shock except that they closed for a month allegedly to renovate. Still no evidence of that. At least the AC was OK. Nice, private sections are to the right and left on entrance which they say they'll rope off some of and sell eventually. A couch and a table are in the section and a mirror which I like. The bars are next to the sections left and right. And there are chairs around the unused stage. I didn't go to VIP.
Unsurprisingly it was kinda slow as far as dancers at 1 pm, might've been 7-10 there. The issue was nobody seemed ready to deal with customers anyway: only one bar was open, no change at the bar, no paper towels in the otherwise fine bathroom, the coke on tap is aggressively light but the bar that was open didn't have cans behind that counter and the bartender had to get it from the other bar. For the grand opening you'd think everyone would be on time and on target. I almost didn't come because I figured it wouldn't be a normal sample of how it would normally be. That was not the case.
