Tried the lumberyard again Will go back.

Decided to give the Lumberyard a try after i got a little bored with the scene at Beach Girls. My last several visits at the "Yard" were not great and i havent been here in years. A few of the gals that dance at both clubs said its more of a weekend club as the week nights are mostly dead but on the weekends they made a lot more money. When i asked why they said the LD price was lowered to 25 and they were geting more dances there as BeachGirls is 30. I figured what the hell why not check it out. I went there seveal times in the past month and these are my thoughts. The place is located just off I80 on the north side of des moines in an more industrial side of town.The venue is nude BYOB and they do not sell booze on site so you will need to run by a gas station to grab brews. Fortutunately there are several well lit ones right of the I80 exit. I reccommend KwikStar as they have No Fee ATMs and good chicken tenders.

The place is a largish puke yellow building with somewhat well lit parking. The cover is 15 on weekends. You get ones from the same lady that checks you in but you have to go to a comeletely different counter which is confusing and poor customre service design. Batheooms are cleanish but really worn. The bathroom troll is kind of the same. Lots of milage but clean and friendly. The main room is really large and open. Kind of reminds me of a large garage converted to a country bar. There are 3 stages that tier down into the lower level where the lap dance rooms and ViP rooms are. The main stage is kind of eye level with the patrons with a wooden rail in between you and the dancers. The dancers hide in the dressing room uostairs and come down when its time to dance. A few will try to work the floor but in my experience less than half do this. The stage show varies by girl and ranges from poor to above average. A $2 tip gets you boobs in face or some other brief attention from the dancers. Some dancers seem to give a better show for more $$ and early tippers. (notable ones were Roxxy, Sofia, sugar, Kasey). There are tubs that the bouncers fill with ice you can put your brews in, which is a nice touch.

The lap dance room is on the lower level and is a big room with semi private booths. Some are more private tham others. There are cameras in the LD room that are monitored by a security person. Ld prices are 25 for topless and 40 for nude. In my opinion there is NO difference between the level of dance you get, so you are paying for additional eye candy only. The dances here are better than beach girls with most girls giving a decent grind.
