This club (now called Pumps) is...

This club (now called Pumps) is more upscale than most other northern NJ places. It looks recently renovated and may be after the summer tourist and boating crowd. It has that look and feel. There are two large rooms for the big rectangular bar and pool tables plus a semi-private area for lap dance booths each with a small couch and translucent curtain. The bartenders and dancers were very friendly and easy on the eyes. Dancers performed inside the bar with the typical dollar parade. I was there early one Saturday evening in January. There were plenty of dancers to go around for the size of the crowd. I enjoyed three lap dances which are $25 each paid to a bouncer type up front (I didn't but with hindsight you might want to tip this guy). They included a blond (very good), a redhead (my soft spot and still better), and a brunette (Helen?--the best). That was quite a hat-trick with good contact and sensuality, but with rather moderate mileage. A bit more mileage and time (say a full 5 minutes for the $25) would get an 8 rating. Overall, Pumps is a nice, safe place. It might be a good couples place.
