Uh Oh

I've reviewed Bare Assets before and it's been one of my favorite go-to clubs for several years. My last two visits have me very concerned that things have slid downhill considerably. I visited on a Tuesday a few months ago and it was a very, very uneventful evening which I chalked up to just being Tuesday. It wasn't really worth the review as I only stayed about 15 minutes. I decide to follow up with a second visit on a Wednesday and it was worse.

Bare Assets is a club popular with locals and is usually one of the more friendly and relaxing clubs in the Bay Area. The parking is free although the lot is somewhat small and in poor shape. When you enter the club the cashier is on the right to take the $10 cover and there's a security guard who may or may not give you a light pat-down depending on the person and the day. Once you're past the cashier, there is an entrance to the private dance rooms immediately to your left. To your right, the club opens up. You'll see a long bar to the left and the stage to your center-right. Seats surround the stage and there's tables scattered throughout the club.

Normally, dancers do three song sets on stage with the third being full nude. It's one of the better setups for stage dances as PLs can site right next to the stage and engage with the dancers. However, I was in the club for about 25 minutes and sat through 4 different dancers. None of them got fully nude and all but one barely danced despite the fact that there were people there tipping the stage dancers.
