Vegas Expectations v. RDU Reality? - Review of Cheetah • 2940 Pleasant Grove Church Rd Morrisville, NC 27560

Was staying at the hotel across the street on a recent business trip. Saw the sign for this new place and decided to check it out. Went around 11 pm or so after a long day of meetings and a business dinner. Paid a cover (20?) and walked into a huge place ... airplane hangar huge. The bar is straight ahead and and there's a long stage to the right, with what looks like some satellite stages on both sides, and tables and booths all around. Looked like they were trying to emulate one of those large Vegas clubs. It was rather slow for Thursday night. Maybe 12 patrons or so, and maybe 10 dancers with a mix of ethnicity, ranging from 5 - 8 in my book. Got to the bar and ordered a light beer ($8?). Cute bartender said they were still relatively new and weekends were generally more crowded. A BBW brunette joined me at the bar and we had a drink together, before she started pushing for private dances. Wasn't my type so decided to pass. Made my way to one of the tables near the side stage, when a tall, gorgeous AA dancer joined me at the table. We had a round of drinks together. Told me she was from out of town but commuted to work at this new place. Was tempted to ask for a dance, but it was getting late and needed to get up early the next day. Overall, this place has potential, but not clear whether it can survive what appeared to be limited local demand. Probably worth a visit to see if it becomes viable over time.
