Worth the trip.

I don’t live close to the Playhouse Lounge, but typically make it a few times a year on the way to something. And recently I was going to visit some buddies and while not directly on the way, I figured out how to make it on the way. It’s usually worth the visit.

The building is bright pink on a not so busy highway. It would be hard to miss. Plenty of parking. When you walk in, give your eyes a chance to adjust it is very dark. When you are able to see you’ll notice a square bar with a single stage in the middle with two poles. Typically you’ll sit where there’s an opening, guys are usually sitting with not much room in between each other. It’s $10 for admission paid to the bartender. This includes two drinks. I usually get water. It’s BYO. There are a couple of places nearby where you could stop and grab some beers.

For a Friday afternoon, the place was pretty crowded. I was able to get a seat in the back (opposite the door), which was a first for me. A lot of the dancers were mostly Brazilians some very attractive others not so much. After dancing on the stage the girls will come around for the traditional dollar parade. Some get closer than others with some being very close which is a good indicator of how a $3, four minute lap dance may be.
