Thursday afternoon, modified gameplan

Gaudy bright pink building on 130, as it has been since before I had grey hair. Stage is set along the building's long axis, entryway at its point, Dark, musty, and thumping seemingly the same music every time you visit. Probably mostly the same dancers too. $10 fee to bartender gets you two waters, BYOB otherwise. I usually sit on the restroom and dressingroom wall side, nearer the register. Makes getting change easy and fast, and a short walk to take a leak, but also tends to get more dancer churn and thus burn through bills faster on the tip parade.

I was passing through the area, been over a year since last trip. Good long-ish list of dancers Thurs afternoon, likely 12 or so (I didn't count). Many of the familiar names, and a few newer to me (ones I have not seen in the past). Didn't see. Cayenne or Gina; apparently the Pink Palace can still operate with out them.]. Who knew. Saw 15+ patrons, and the dance rooms were high demand. Took my time to feel out the energy and operate my plan based on the dancers present and what I felt like. That ended up being a poor idea, as a number of potential options (Devon, Mercedes) were tied up in long (10+ song) dance encounters in the back. Was surprised to see Tatiana circulating in the dollar parade and working patrons for a dance (usually she seems to get snapped up into long encounters in the back as soon as she appears). I declined, still not sure why. Even more shocked to see Erica circulating. That has never been the case in my prior visits (one usually has to approach her as she somewhat aloofly nurses a drink in the back corner of the bar).

Original gameplan not in play, I accepted Erica's offer and she worked the back desk until we found a room. I've danced with her a bunch of times; each one is different rather than the formulaic/patterned/mechanical approached of a bunch of PHL's other talent. On this day, she seemed eagerly interactive, into the music playing for the stage dancer, and very into to a more tender touch and vibe. The encounter lasted 5 songs, and I returned to my seat to recover by the stage shows. Debated other options, turning down Devon and Mercedes and a host of others in the parade in the 30 min that followed. Decided that I was sated enough, and time and money were more valuable spent elsewhere. Good visit, given that the original gameplan went out the window.
