I have died and gone to heaven

I had to be in Venice for a week of conferences, so I made the decision to visit Wellcum. This is my first visit to a FKK. Hohenthurn is about 2 hours drive from Venice so I had to rent a car. There is no good rail service to southern Austria. I made plans to arrive to Venice a day early so I could make the trip up and back before my meetings.

First off, for us Americans, if you have never rented a car in Europe, be advised, most of the cars are manual transmission. I can drive a stick, so it was not an issue. You can get an automatic, but it is more expensive, and they have fewer cars.

It is a very nice 2 hour drive up into the Austrian mountains from Venice to Wellcum. It is a toll road but only about 10 Euros for tolls and you pay with a credit card.
