Hit or miss

This club really is like Jeckyl and Hyde. You never know what you'll find week to week or day to day. I visited two Wednesdays in a row as I was passing through on work and it was wildly different. Arrived around nine each week and the first one was a great time. There were five girls and probably 7 or 8 guys. The dancers were mostly attractive with a few lookers and a few towny looking plain girls but all fun. They were doing a rotation of three songs each on the stage and I enjoyed that for awhile after paying my seven buck cover. Afterward, I asked a skinny brunette for a dance and she obliged. For 20 bucks it was a good grind and convinced me to enjoy a longer 30 minute visit upstairs for 100 bucks. It was a plain fun night at a run of the mill Wisconsin strip club that feels like a local bar. Expecting the same, I returned the next week at the same time. Paid the cover and bought a cheap beer for five bucks or so, and that's where it ended. There were five or six guys but only one girl who sat at the end of the bar talking with the bouncer and one of his friends. While I nursed the beer she never even looked over at the rest of us let alone thought of dancing. I asked the guy at the exit why I had to pay the cover if no one was dancing and he said it is the DJ/bouncer's job to put the girls on stage. But he didn't offer me a refund either. Not sure why they don't schedule girls more consistently. Would be a great place if they did.
