Closing time is not a great time

I approached after 1am—perhaps that’s why they asked no cover. I was whisked inside and quickly found a table next to the bar. The room is not huge, with small tables for the dancers to dance on located opposite each corner of the rectangular bar.

I looked around and got my bearings. There were dancers on both tables, one seemingly just finishing, while the dancer closer to me was giving an energetic (air only) show to two patrons (one male, one female) sitting right in front of the dancer. The music was loud and vague (no dj that i could tell).

I wasn’t approached for dances or company, likely because they were already moving into “done for the night” mode.
