First Time In A Long Time.

I used to live in the Phoenix area, and spent much of my disposable income at Chicas. After sampling many of the clubs in the Phx area, and after reading the TUSCL reviews submitted by others, Chicas was my "go-to" club. Then I moved away from Phx about 4 1/2 years ago and wasn't able to make it back down there, until Yesterday

Physically, Chicas has changed a lot of things around. First: They replaced the movie screen that always played Mexican bands, replaced it with a "gigantic", multi-segment digital screen, and a new speaker system that played the video's cucaracha songs louder than ever. Then, they refurbished the private dance areas. They started out with a private room in the back of the club. Then they built a new private area in the front of the club. Now they've opened up both of them, and I didn't see any cameras at all. The "regular" semi booths are still the same as always, about a half dozen of them over to the right (north) side as you walk, in, just past the bar.

As I went in, I got a bottle of water for $5. My advice, always get a bottle of water, for it placates the bar tender, and its good to have them on your side. I was the first customer in the club, right after it opened. They have a security guard and a metal detector wand, which was no inconvenience. ,I passed on the initial 2 girls, and signed on to the third. She was a grey-eyed blonde, and spoke perfect English (not all the girls can do so). I take it she was a local girl just working days. She wanted $20 per lap dance and I couldn't negotiate her down. I was going to go 10 for $10, but at the $20 level, I just signed on for 3. I figured three would be enough to do my research for the day. But she got $60 instead of $100 because she wouldn't negotiate. Whatever. I asked her about the private areas, they were $25 per dance. She said they only had one camera in the club, which was up in the rafters in the main part of the club. That went along with my initial inspection, where I didn't see any cameras in those private dance areas. I asked her if they still had the previous practice of a 2nd girl going into the private areas along with the primary companion, with the #2 girl standing in the way of anybody looking in, or blocking cameras. She said she'd been there for over a year, and never heard of this. So there's an improvement in the privacy portion of a private dance.
