Hadn't been to Pigale in a few years and decided to drop in on a Tuesday afternoon that I was free. The place is always at least half full at night and a bit impersonal, but daytime was always a great experience. There were fewer girls but there were always a few standouts that made the trip worthwhile. Times have changed.

When you walk in, the stage is in the middle of the floor with tables and booths surrounding it. Bar is at the back and the restrooms are to the right of the bar. On the way to the bar there are stairs that lead downstairs and to where dances take place. First impression is that it looks a bit run down. The day I went, there was just the bartender and no wait staff. You had to go to the bar yourself to get a drink. I spent over an hour there hoping things would pick up but they did not. There were 2-3 people at the bar and 3-4 tables with customers. I counted 6 girls working that day. Being kind I would rate them 3-4. No one was Fugly. Between the random tattoos, which I am not a fan of, short and out of shape, and below average looks for a strip club, there was no one there I would have considered spending money for a dance. During the time I was there I saw all the girls have a turn on stage and it was mediocre. I saw only 3 girls go downstairs for a dance and they soon came back upstairs. Usually not a good sign. Feeling I was wasting my time away, I left. I would try the place again maybe towards the end of the week or the middle of the week at night. Weekend nights can crowded if you are going alone.
