Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in the Midwest anymore
A buddy and I were in town and looking to kill time before meeting up with a group of friends who don't share our clubbing interests, and reviews on this site and elsewhere indicated that Oz would be a good time. We drive up and are immediately skeptical, as the building looks like an old Pizza Hut. Fortunately, it's obvious the owners have put some money into the place, with a multilevel pair of poles and really nice ambient lighting inside the club. Possibly some of the most comfortable backed stools we've ever sat in at the bar, too.
Financially, we showed up at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon, and there was no cover, which was a nice discovery. Drinks were priced at around 7 bucks for a domestic bottle and a little over 10 for double rail drinks (prices were blended together since we ordered in pairs). Dances in private booths run you $40 per song, and the dances were VERY friendly... minimal rules were issued for hands, but I wasn't bold enough to try anything beyond tits and ass. Dancers were adept at grinding and stick shifting. There were also signals of additional friendliness that could be discussed in DMs.
The ladies on hand were initially in the 6 to 7 range, but staffing quality and quantity noticeably perked up by 2:00, with many 8s aggressively working the floor. Dancer composition was approximately 40% Latina, 40% white, and 20% black. Normally I would run a stopwatch to measure song length, but the ladies on shift didn't leave much unattended time. Songs were probably 3 or 4 minutes, but no hard data.
