A return to Sunnys Saloon
Was in the neighborhood after having dinner in nearby Northridge. It was only 7pm and I didn't want to head home just to watch TV before bed. It has been several years since my last visit, way before Covid. Glad this place survived.
For those who don't know Sunny's is located in a strip mall about 2 miles south of Hwy 118 in Chatsworth. When you enter there is a long bench on the right side of the club and on the opposite side is a bar with probably 10 stools. Past the bench is a small stage with pole. The ceiling above the stage is recessed giving the dancers an extra couple feet to do their acrobatics. The back half of the club had a pool table, two booths for couch dances, bathrooms and a door leading to patio for smoking/vaping. There was no cover but they did have a one drink minimum. My bottles of Modelo cost $8 each.
When I entered there were 5 guys at the bar, three dancers and one bartender (attractive latina), a dj and a security guard. Two of the dancers were Caucasian, both had lots of tattoos and a latina/Caucasian dancer. I tipped the tatooed dancers (Bunny and Story) about $5 each at the rail during the last of their two song sets. They each had fans from among the customers who were dropping at least $20 per set so I wasn't getting much attention. Still at the end of each set the girls came by and thanked me for the tips. Afterwards one retreated to the bench and spent time texting on her phone and the other joining her admirers at the bar
