I visited TJ’s Showgirls in Stanton, Orange County, California, on the afternoon of Thursday, February 29, 2024 from about 4;15 to 5:45. I hadn’t been to a club for 5 months and was ready to return. I had been to this club previously in early May 2023, also in the afternoon. The club is on a major street, Beach Blvd, between Cerritos and Ball. It is in a strip mall along with a bunch of small businesses, a Taco Bell, and a Korean restaurant . Sufficient parking. Entering an older woman at the door asked if I had ever been there before and when I sail yes directed me to enter through the exit door rather than the entrance turnstile saying rather than a cover I should just buy a drink. The non-alcohol drink was $8 for a generic bottle of water.

The club is pretty small and the furnishings somewhat old, some of the couches having rips in the upholstery . The square room has a semicircular stage on one wall, with one pole and a mirrored background. The room is rather empty with a few pairs of chairs with small tables and couches along the walls. A small bar in a back corner, more of a service bar than a stand-up bar, and a short hall with an ATM and leading to the restroom which is small and old but adequate. The lap dance areas are behind the side walls of the room. The room is dark with a few colored lights. Music was loud and varied, even a couple of country songs.

There were between 5 and 10 dancers and on average around 6 customers, who seemed to tend toward the older side, like me. The dancers were a mix of while and Latina, no AA or oriental at this time, with ages ranging from early 20’s up to 30’s. Most of them were fit, with a range of breast sizes. Dancing on the stage was sporadic, maybe someone there half the time. Generally 2 song sets getting nude at some point. The dancers are pretty aggressive in approaching customers, sitting down and talking a bit and proposing laps. Dance prices are single song for $40, although the whole time I was there they were doing 2 for $40 instead. Above this they were 3 songs for $80, 5 songs for $120, 15 min for $150, 30 min for $250 (all these are same as last year).
