HK Newbie to SemiRegular

I always visit during the week due to work so I’ve not experienced the full weekend HK extravaganza. Last visit was 1/16 early evening. I’ll include a few rid bits that may help fellow visitors. I went from total solo newbie to regular visitor over the course of about 8 months.

I park at Border Station Parking each time which I right off the highway in a monitored lot. Been there probably 10 times and never an issue at all. Make the walk across the bridge and into the non-Mexican line. I always flash my passport and Global Entry card simultaneously and have always been waved through. First tip- if you have no bags just walk past the line after immigration and pass the metal detectors.

I’ve only used the Zona shuttle once. It was a waste of time for me. Just walk to a cab and hand the driver $7 and off we go. The HK club itself is like nothing you’ve ever seen. The vibe is crazy but it seems really small until they open the upper decks and side rooms- but during the week that doesn’t happen much. I rarely sit down and I just cruise. I don’t really drink so a can of mineral water in your hands prevents the miseros from bothering me. I always pass out dollars freely as it just makes for a more friendly experience.
