A Hidden Gem Indeed!

Nestled outside of Philadelphia in Spring City lies an intriguing club that calls itself Hidden Gem Gentleman's Club. The bar inside goes by the name Baby Dolls Bar. I first visited last Saturday night around 8pm and stayed til about midnight. Had a blast!

The place is well setup. Upon entering the door guy took cover charge of $10. As I entered I noticed a set of stairs to the right that lead to a colorfully lit area in the lower level. I wasn't sure what this was, but learned later this is where the VIP dances are done, which is brilliant! When you're done with your dance and want to leave, you can just walk straight up the stairs and out of the establishment without having to do that awkward walk of shame past anyone on your way out. So I paid the door guy, walked through metal detector, quick pat down and I was good to sit at the bar.

The lighting created an ambiance that was both inviting and mysterious. The music was fantastic and the DJ maintains a volume that energizes without overwhelming. Perhaps most notably, the club manages to maintain a vibe that is decidedly low on the "thug factor," a refreshing departure from some of the smaller clubs in Philly. I really enjoyed the cadence for dancers. Not once was someone not on stage when announced. Each dander would do 2 songs then 1 song would play while she cleaned up her stage tips and got dressed then she would start the lap around the bar for tips. The 1 song between dancers was nice. No one seemed rush and it flowed really well.
