If IHOP Were A Strip Club

Came here again at the behest of a friend who flew in from the East Coast and again, to my chagrin since I had forewarned him that this place was nothing like Scores in NY. There women actually care about their appearance. Here, not so much. I hadn’t been since my last review and I did have a bit of hope that perhaps things had changed. Maybe by some stroke of luck management had decided to actually have some semblance of a standard when hiring dancers. Unfortunately, not much has changed in that ballpark. Not to sound harsh but they should let people in for free here given the selection of dancers. Which besides Blue Zebra in No Ho, has perhaps the worst looking group of dancers in So Cal. This place would’ve been the perfect alternative for a sequel for From Dusk till Dawn, minus Salma Hayek.

We paid the 10 dollar cover (Friday at 8pm) and the club was still fairly empty. This is that club you go to when you have no other alternatives and/or you’re looking for bargain basement values and low hanging fruit. Like choosing IHOP over a french bistro for breakfast. And if you like that kind of thing, bully for you. I didn’t see many dancers with any aesthetically pleasing qualities, and most of the dancers looked like they had just spent the last few months at Hometown Buffet. I understand not everyone’s going to look like a Victoria Secret supermodel but at least take pride in your appearance if your goal is to make any money in the long term in this business. The best thing about the club I suppose is how cheap it is. $80.00 for 15 minutes and $160.00 for 30 minutes, which would be great under different circumstances.

Was approached by a younger dancer with glasses whose name started with the letter K, who was actually one of the better looking girls there. Unfortunately she smelled like cannabis and 5 dollar perfume. Not a great combo but did tip her after her stage dance. Declined any dances but she didn’t give me the hard sell and was actually quite polite. She was a nice enough girl but didn’t float my boat in any way. I would say 80 percent of the dancers on this night were in the “heavy set” category. Again, not my cup of tea but some guys like that kind of thing.
