Desert Flowers Come to Life Down on Bourbon Street

Visited the Valley of the Sun to get out of the cold. I had a moment to make a quick SC visit and after deliberating between Hi-Lighter, Sugar 44 and Bourbon Street, the consistently positive Bourbon reviews pointed me this way.

Arrived at Bourbon St just after 10:30p on a Friday night. Parking lot is a good size so still many spots left. I ended up third in line outside the club like this was Studio 54 or something - this was a first for me. The place was pretty full although the bouncer said I could pay $100 to get seated in some kind of VIP area next to a stage but I declined. I would struggle to figure out where that was when I went inside.

I finally get inside, pay the $12 cover and show my ID. Guy takes me to a table near the back of the club and I tip him. The place is pretty cramped with tables and chairs full of groups, couples, the occasional single dude with dancers scattered throughout the club. It's more of party atmosphere than I'm used to and I love it. The bar is immediately to the right when you walk in and there are three stages with the largest one in the middle along the right wall. Dancers are everywhere, it's a lot to take in. Server comes up and asks me what I want to drink and I get a Jack and coke ($12-13).
