Saturday in the Dark, I think it was the 4th of July

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to see a couple of old favorites. No cover in the afternoon, Doorman will usually do ID scan and light pat down, but I don't have to. Long bar in the front room, where regulars hang out and talk to dancers, sometimes seemingly forever, sometimes eventually getting dances but just as often hanging out and dancers allowing themselves to be hung out with. I'm okay with that. I sit in the back room where the main stage is located, about 6-10 dancers on shift at the moment. There's a new, energetic waitress/bartender, she takes my $5 drink order, promptly brings it back, bringing me a Coke and a smile.

Only dancers on the floor are Latina; this club does have a number of black dancers and some white ones, but, in my experience, the Anglo dancers here are to be avoided. Latina #1 one comes up, plays with me, asks a few times for a dance. I turn her away. Latina #2 comes up, second verse, same as the first. Latina #3 gets really, really up close and personal to entice me, but I am a rock, I am an island, and I persevere. Finally, one of the dancers I was there for comes out of VIP. We chat, head back for a good time. VIPs at Band-Aids are semi-private, behind a wall that backs the main stage, with 6 booths separated by a partition. I shudder to think what they would like with a UV light shined back there. VIPs are $20 per song, and a great value here as the DJ often plays near uncut versions of songs. Lots of two way contact by most dancers, but beware, some really limit your access to them and them to you. Those should be stopped after one song as they are not going to get any better. I finish with dancer #1 and head back with dancer #2. We've known each other a couple years now and that familiarity shows in the dances I get. I finish, pay and tip generously for a job well done, and head back out to the homestead in time for NFL Playoff football.
