I stopped in on a Thursday...

I stopped in on a Thursday night about 10pm. It was moderately busy, and I'd estimate about 20 dancers working. I'd say there were several 9's, a lot of 6-8's, and a few who were pretty ordinary and overweight, but you have to give them credit for trying. I guess there's a type for everybody! It was the standard two songs per dancer with both stages working. I usually sit in a spot that allows me to see both stages easily as the girls don't rotate between stages. When the dancer is done on whichever stage she's assigned, that's all you're going to see for a while from her. I still dislike the lighting at DV: I want to be able to concentrate on what's happening and the rapidly verying lighting levels or near-strobe light effects are just annoying. If you want a deal, stay tuned for the specials, like 3 dances for $20, etc. You won't get nearly the action as at Rick's, but you can occasionally find a more receptive dancer. There are usually some interesting and alternative-looking girls, so it's always worth checking out. Just go in with reasonable expectatons. Also be aware that sitting in the front row is going to mean that some dancers will approach you from stage for tips, so have some dollar bills ready. They're not super aggressive about it, but it can also be annoying, especially if the dancer spends half of her set panhandling rather than dancing.
