Some Things Stay the Same

Been a couple years since I’ve been to this familiar place. Not much has changed I see…

Small, divey neighborhood titty bar. Small parking lot. Be careful driving in this little hamlet outside Chicago - the police don’t take kindly to African descendants in this part of town. Once inside the bar though - only color that matters is green.

A sawbuck to get in. Bar immediately to the right once you get inside - 2 steps up to the left where there are about 15-20 small tables with chairs and a couple TV’s showing local sports. Slot machines straight ahead (maybe 4 of them). The dance area is behind where the tables are-but don’t get any ideas….its closely monitored by cameras and the bartender watches the screen. The girls wear stockings.
